Strategic Alignment Priority will be given to projects that are aligned with their Regional associations’ strategic outcomes. Impact Outcomes from all projects must be measurable and recipients of KiwiSport investment must accept responsibility for achieving “promised” outcomes. A baseline of information will be a requirement in order to set measures to gauge if investment has been successful. Key Messages All KiwiSport initiatives will be expected to promote and communicate to parents, children and the wider public, the importance of sport and recreation for young people. Information Projects that address issues surrounding the flow of information (e.g. concerns that families and schools are unaware of opportunities) would be considered in a positive manner. Opportunities for All Projects should consider issues such as disability, social and economic inequalities. Financial Contribution An expectation of the RPF is that partners will contribute financially or in-kind to their proposal. Consultation with the community has indicated that 30% is an amount that provides the best balance model that will not create disengagement with potential partner and still provides significant additional investment into the sector. Volunteers Recognition and reward Pathways (local delivery mechanisms of pathways) Outcomes, Accountabilities and Measurements Outcomes from all projects must be measurable and recipients of KiwiSport investment must accept responsibility for achieving “promised” outcomes. A baseline of information will be a requirement in order to set measures to gauge if investment has been successful. The specific outcomes of the projects will be determined by the applicants themselves. Sport Taranaki will be responsible for managing the KiwiSport investment, providing leadership and ensuring all accountability and compliance requirements are adhered to. It is proposed that summary reports will be prepared and evaluations against objectives conducted quarterly in partnership with the applicant to comply with Sport Taranaki reporting requirements of KiwiSport. Each applicant will be asked to sign a KiwiSport agreement, specifying the responsibilities and requirements of each project. Application Information The following three types of Contestable Funds are available for organisations to apply for investment through the Regional Partnership Fund. Please remember that priority will be given to initiatives that align with the key priorities and operating principles of the Regional Partnership Fund. Fundamental Skills Programme This programme will focus on developing and enhancing key aquatics, movement and manipulative fundamental skills for students. Identified priorities addressed by project includes: Poor basic movement skills Lack of expertise in schools to address development of skill levels Skill levels of students entering secondary schools and clubs Kiwisport Objectives Met: ‣ Increased availability and accessibility of sport opportunities ‣ Better developed skills to enable effective participation Project and Purpose - This programme will focus on developing and enhancing key aquatics, movement and Manipulative fundamental skills for students.
