3.3 TOILETS 2.0.3 <strong>Design</strong> Features & Benefi ts. Vario installation Ideal for non-standard variable set out. A toilet that is ‘vario’ is suitable for both S and P-Trap VARIO toilets. A specific connector is required. This is included. S-Trap Currently the preferred system when constructing new homes. For an S-Trap (through S TRAP the floor), check the ‘set out’ measurement; the distance from the wall to the centre of the existing waste outlet. P-Trap More often used in villa and bungalow restorations and renovations. The P-Trap P TRAP (through the wall) has a standard height and should be 185mm (+ or – 5mm) from the floor to the centre of the waste outlet in the wall. WELS The WELS water-rating label is similar in appearance to the energy-rating label, which washing machines and dishwashers must also carry. The WELS label replaces the voluntary water conservation rating ’AAAA’ label endorsed by the Water Services Association of Australia. The label shows: A zero to six rating that allows a quick comparative assessment of the product’s water efficiency; the more stars on the label the more water efficient the product. When planning an update to your bathroom you will need to consider the may many different styles of toilet available. Back-to-Wall Toilet Suites Rear of toilet is flush to the wall with waste and inlet pipes concealed. Close Coupled Toilet Suites Rear of the toilet pan is slightly offset from the wall. The tank merges neatly with the pan. Wall-Hung / Wall-Faced <strong>Toilets</strong> The tank is concealed within the wall. Care & Cleaning Tips Soft abrasive cleaners may be used when necessary to clean KOHLER® vitreous china products. Strong abrasive cleaners will scratch and dull the surface. Use toilet bowl cleaners on the inside of the bowl only. Do not use in-tank toilet cleaners as they can damage the flush valve or other working parts. Wipe any splashes of cleaner solutions from plastic or plated surfaces immediately. KOHLER® Quiet-Close is engineered to close slowly with the slightest touch, reducing unwanted noise often associated with lid slamming.
