Perfection is achieved when every detail has been refined to its maximum, when all the individual components come
together to make one beautifully balanced whole, just as they do in the new Peugeot 308. One look at its sleek V-shaped
bonnet, wide cat-like headlights, distinctive sports front grille with its aluminium louvres and deeply recessed chrometrimmed
fog lights, and you’ll be convinced that there is no more room for improvement.
Quality in depth.
central Control. The Peugeot 308’s ergonomically designed dashboard puts everything you could
need within hand’s reach. How about setting a different temperature for you and your front passenger via the
ingenious dual-zone air-conditioning system*? Find all these controls neatly clustered together in the console.

Destination perfection. When we designed the interior of the Peugeot 308, we wanted it to provide
truly superior comfort. One of our top priorities was to make sure that everyone had plenty of space. Part of our
solution was to angle the dashboard by 30 degrees, freeing up space around the driver’s and front passenger’s knees.
We also gave them comfortable slim-backed sports seats, which created extra inches of legroom for the rear
passengers. To boost comfort levels even higher, we raised the back seats – treating occupants to improved visibility.
To make the car feel even more spacious, we designed a huge panoramic roof window available on the 308 XT.
More thought went into ensuring that the interior of the Peugeot 308 is a really calm place to be. We not only built
in high levels of sound insulation, but also fitted a photosensitive rear-view mirror* to prevent the driver from
being dazzled by the car behind. The little things became big priorities. We made sure that there were plenty of
places to stow away all your family’s bits and pieces, including a compartment in the parcel shelf that can be accessed
from the cabin or the boot, and storage in the central armrest that’s big enough to hold six CDs. There’s even a
refrigerated glovebox, a handbag hook and a sunglasses container.

See driving in a new light. Getting into the Peugeot 308 for the first time is an enlightening experience.
Not content with only giving the Peugeot 308 the largest window in its class, for a clear view of the road, we’ve also
included a huge, panoramic Cielo glass roof on the 308 XT which lets light flood in, giving you an amazing sense of freedom
and space. Stretching an incredible 1.26m 2 , the roof effectively extends the stylishly raked windscreen right to the back
of the passenger compartment, brightening up everyone’s journey. Worried about your passengers getting too much
sunshine? Don’t be. The heat-reflective, tinted glass has been treated to filter out 90% of the sun’s ultraviolet rays.
If the sun really starts to scorch down, an electric sunblind is ready to
cover up all or part of the roof at the touch of a button. There’s even
a thoughtful anti-pinch system to stop it operating if little fingers get
in the way.

equipping the Peugeot 308 with technology designed to optimise your driving comfort. If you’re driving across town,
the variable speed limiter* will keep you within the legal limit for as long as you ask it to, no matter how many times
you need to use the brake or clutch. Long drive ahead of you? The variable cruise control* enables you to maintain
a constant cruising speed, so you can relax and enjoy the ride. To help keep you focused on the road, all the
Peugeot 308’s audio and multi-media functions can be controlled via the keyboard or by buttons on the steering wheel.

The perfect driving partner. Once you settle down in the driver’s seat, expect the ideal driving
experience. As if our knowledge, experience and passion for developing cars weren’t invitation enough, the Peugeot
308’s rigid chassis, low centre of gravity and wide wheelbase, positively beg you to put its outstanding driving dynamics to
the test. But it’s not just the Peugeot 308’s exhilarating response and sheer composure on the road that you’ll appreciate.
Being the perfect driving partner, it also has the power to look out for you. Braking hard into a corner? You’ll be pleased
to know that the Peugeot 308’s brakes are the best in its class, featuring extra large ventilated discs on the front for more
bite and endurance without a hint of vibration.
The Peugeot 308 can see you safely to and from your door at night. Headlights stay on for a few seconds to light your way
after you’ve used the plip key to lock or unlock the car*. Equally important, the Peugeot 308 can take care of itself. The
bonnet and fuel-filler flap can only be opened from inside the cabin, and it has a coded anti-start device to discourage
unwanted admirers.

Petrol engines. The product of a co-operation between PSA and BMW, the
responsive, fuel-injected 1.6 litre VTi engine develops 88kW and features variable valve
timing (VVT). It supplies power exactly when you need it to ensure you can enjoy the
Peugeot 308’s dynamic capabilities to the full. Yet, it delivers class-leading fuel-economy.
Talk about efficiency. The XT version boasts the 1.6 litre THP engine, also developed in
partnership with PSA/BMW. It produces 110kW giving the 308 XT unmatched driveability.
HDi diesel engine (High Pressure Direct Injection). Our refined HDi diesel engine is
exemplary. As a PSA Peugeot Citroën innovation, it incorporates a particulate filter along with a pump that feeds fuel
into a ‘common rail’ and it is renowned for its remarkable fuel-efficiency, high levels of torque (even at low revs), plus
radically low CO 2
emissions. This very intelligent application of power also means that it is extremely rewarding to
drive.

Peugeot and the environment. Fact: climate change is one of the
biggest challenges facing the planet. Sadly, we can’t ignore the car’s contribution to the
greenhouse effect, nor turn back time. At PSA Peugeot Citroën, we’ve been concentrating
on what we can do, keeping the future in mind.
Because we’re genuinely committed to reducing CO 2
emissions, we’ve invested heavily in new technologies and innovations
designed to make our cars and vans more fuel-efficient (believe it or not, we’ve even been developing biofuels from plants
that absorb CO 2
while they’re growing). We’ve also focused on cleaning up the air. We pioneered the use of the FAP particle
filter in our HDi engine, reducing the amount of polluting particles released in the air by an incredible 1 000%.
And our hard work is continuing to pay off. We’ve managed to reduce the CO 2
emissions, from the Peugeot 308’s 80kW
1.6 HDi engine to a 130g, in the combined cycle. To ensure that we can all breathe easier, we’re switching from paints
containing organic solvents to water-based alternatives that discharge nearly five times fewer volatile organic compounds
into the atmosphere, yet still look as good and last as long as their less friendly counterparts. Worried about landfill?
So are we. That’s why at least 95% of every Peugeot 308 is now recyclable, including the metal, glass, fluids, plastic materials

and rubber. And we’re well on our way to creating a fully recyclable car, which brings us back to the Peugeot 308. It’s the
latest in our ever-increasing line of highly fuel-efficient cars. We may not be able to repair the damage that mankind’s already
done to the environment, but we are committed to doing everything we can to produce vehicles that work with it, rather
than against it.
PERFECT PEACE OF MIND.
Euro NCAP. When we designed the Peugeot 308, we didn’t just want to
design the perfect driver’s car. We also wanted to create an optimally safe car.
So it’s hardly surprising that it was awarded five stars in the Euro NCAP* tests – the
highest safety accolade a car can receive. *European New Car Assessment Programme.

An entertaining ride is a safe ride. At Peugeot, we don’t believe you should have to take risks
to have fun on the road. That’s why we’ve spent thousands of hours developing, testing and refining the Peugeot 308 to
ensure it maintains its composure on even the most demanding stretch of road.

Our engineers gave it a wide wheel track and redesigned electro-pump steering, along with McPherson front suspension
and a steel rear axle with a deformable cross member. What does that mean on the road? Pick your favourite bends
and put the Peugeot 308 through its paces; you’ll find it strikes the perfect balance between solid stability and extreme
agility, even at speed. Driving in town? Then you’ll find its variable, electric power-assisted steering makes it easy to park
and manoeuvre in heavy traffic. As you might expect, the Peugeot 308 is also equipped with a powerful, durable braking
system designed for difficult situations. This includes:
• Anti-lock brakes (ABS) to help you keep control of the steering and prevent the car from skidding under heavy braking.
• Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) which applies different amounts of braking force to individual wheels to
keep the car stable – especially if you need to brake around a corner.
• Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) – hit the brakes hard in a hurry and the system will come to your aid, applying
maximum braking power in milliseconds to bring you to a halt quickly and safely.
• Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) which is standard on the XT comprises all the above, plus:
- Traction control (ASR) which activates the braking and engine management systems to prevent the wheels from
spinning in slippery conditions.
- Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) continuously monitors and compares data from the steering wheel sensor and
the yaw sensor to detect any under or over steer, then uses the braking and engine management systems to keep
you on course.

Your personal bodyguard. People come first with us. That’s why
we’ve taken all the features you can’t see on the Peugeot 308 as seriously as those
you can. Beneath its elegant, dynamic lines lies a passenger safety cell that’s been
designed with three impact absorption structures to take as much of the crash
energy as possible if you’re involved in an accident.
In the event of a head-on collision, you’re protected by the main impact structure, as well as a new lower structure fitted
onto the front sub-frame, and extra reinforcements above the front wheel arches. So you and your passengers are effectively
cocooned in a protective cell. A further safeguard is provided by the Peugeot 308’s collapsible steering column and collapsible
mountings, which retract to prevent the engine and gearbox being pushed back into the cabin. We’ve also designed an active
footrest*, which helps to prevent ankle injuries by absorbing as much of the shock as possible. The all-round protection
continues with reinforced side panels to take the brunt of the force if you’re hit from that angle, plus an aluminium alloy impact
bar at the back to safeguard the cabin and petrol tank. If you do find yourself in a dangerous situation, it’s reassuring to know
that the Peugeot 308 is fully equipped with 3-point seat belts with force limiters, which complement the restraining effect
provided by the pretensioner in the driver’s and front passenger’s seat belt.
Naturally, it feels good to run your life efficiently: to not waste time, money or resources and still achieve your desired
outcomes. So it makes sense to drive a car that works efficiently too. And, as you can see, we haven’t cut any corners in
achieving that vision. The Peugeot 308 is a pure reflection of the stylish, dynamic, reliable and innovative qualities we not only
aspire to, but insist on, to create natural efficiency. You’ll see it in the aerodynamic flowing form, the well-appointed interior
