Marines assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego’s
(NMCSD) Wounded Warrior Battalion-West detachment, enter
an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, assigned to the Blackjacks of
Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 21, at NMCSD. HSC-
21 is based at Naval Air Station North Island and provided eight
wounded, ill and injured service members and four Marine
staff members the opportunity to ride along as a morale booster
before conducting search and rescue training.
