The future<br />
The EU’s support to regional partnerships <strong>in</strong> <strong>school</strong> <strong>education</strong> is an<br />
important part of its drive to strengthen <strong>education</strong> systems which<br />
encourage young people to acquire the full range of competences<br />
they need for further study, employment and <strong>in</strong>volvement <strong>in</strong> society.<br />
It can also make a great contribution to develop<strong>in</strong>g closer relationships<br />
between <strong>school</strong>s and their communities. This is an important aspect<br />
of the <strong>European</strong> <strong>Commission</strong>’s plans for the new 2014-2020 <strong>education</strong><br />
programme.<br />
This brochure illustrates 16 projects that have benefited from the<br />
<strong>European</strong> Union’s support and have successfully developed regional<br />
cooperation. With a view to <strong>in</strong>form<strong>in</strong>g, <strong>in</strong>spir<strong>in</strong>g and motivat<strong>in</strong>g, these<br />
examples also <strong>in</strong>vite you to become <strong>in</strong>volved.
