and was awarded a $7.8m contract
by the Singapore Police Force
(SPF) to provide customised
Forward Command Vehicles
(FCV) with state-of-the-art
communications and electronic
systems in September 2007.
The FCVs are to be delivered over
a 20-month period as STEE-
InfoComm performs the full
spectrum of work from design to
integration and building, testing
to commissioning and finally,
maintainance and support of the
FCVs.
STEE-InfoComm has to meet
SPF’s stringent operational
requirements so that the FCVs
can provide quick deployment,
mobility, reliability and expansion
flexibility in its operations. The
FCV’s superior ability to monitor
and control incidents or complex
operations makes it the excellent
solution for mission planning
and incident management. The

customised systems in the FCVs will provide the SPF with the
capabilities to enhance coordination of emergency response to
critical situations.
This contract has reinforced ST Electronics’ position as a leading
