Mohammad Naeem<br />

Mohammad Naeem was<br />

appointed as Non Executive<br />

Director in May 2001. Naeem<br />

is also Chief Executive of the<br />

Rochdale Centre of Diversity<br />

<strong>and</strong> has lived in <strong>Calderdale</strong> for more than 30<br />

years. Naeem is a former councillor on <strong>Calderdale</strong><br />

Council. He is a qualified engineer, but due to<br />

a decline in this industry pursued a successful<br />

career in race <strong>and</strong> community relations.<br />

Naeem has worked in <strong>Huddersfield</strong>, <strong>Calderdale</strong><br />

<strong>and</strong> Bradford for almost 15 years in community<br />

related issues, before taking up the post with<br />

the Rochdale Centre of Diversity in 1985. He is<br />

Chairman of Rochdale Borough Pride Partnership,<br />

(The Local Strategic Partnership, (LSP) <strong>and</strong> serves<br />

as a Board member of The Oldham <strong>and</strong> Rochdale<br />

Housing Market Renewal Path Finder. He works<br />

with wide ranging partnerships in the Northwest<br />

region in meeting the needs of local communities<br />

in health,housing, education, employment <strong>and</strong><br />

social care. Naeem contributes, whenever possible,<br />

to community related issues in <strong>Calderdale</strong>.<br />

He has served as a school governor in<br />

three local schools in <strong>Calderdale</strong> <strong>and</strong> has a<br />

particular interest in personnel issues.<br />

Naeem enjoys computing <strong>and</strong> finds<br />

working with people of all backgrounds <strong>and</strong><br />

levels extremely satisfying. He is very much<br />

people- orientated <strong>and</strong> loves to spend as<br />

much time with his family as possible.<br />

Bill Jones<br />

Bill holds a BSc (Hons) in<br />

Sociology linked to Politics <strong>and</strong><br />

is an associate of the Chartered<br />

Institute of Bankers. During<br />

his career in banking he has<br />

had responsibility for the audit function of a<br />

large commercial bank in the North of Engl<strong>and</strong><br />

<strong>and</strong> retired as an area director of that bank.<br />

Bill has been involved with the <strong>NHS</strong> since<br />

1992 firstly as a Non Executive Director with<br />

the Prescription Pricing Authority serving in<br />

the role of audit chair until 1998, <strong>and</strong> then in<br />

2002 he joined the board of the <strong>Calderdale</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />

<strong>Huddersfield</strong> <strong>NHS</strong> Trust <strong>and</strong> has served as audit<br />

chair to date again in a non executive role.<br />

In 2005 he was invited to join the board of<br />

the Foundation Trust Financing Committee with<br />

the Department of Health in London as a non<br />

executive contributor <strong>and</strong> has since then assumed<br />

the role of a permanent member. Bill enjoys golf,<br />

watching soccer <strong>and</strong> breeds <strong>and</strong> shows dogs.<br />
