Raisecom <strong>RC951E</strong>-<strong>4FEE1</strong> is Raisecom's<br />

intelligent <strong>Ethernet</strong> <strong>Demarcation</strong> Device (EDD).<br />

The device is typically owned by carriers/service<br />

providers, but is working at the border of<br />

customer's network and carrier's network and<br />

provding a clear demarcation point between the<br />

two.<br />

<strong>RC951E</strong>-<strong>4FEE1</strong> offers 4 FE downlink ports and 1<br />

E1 uplink. Customized <strong>Ethernet</strong> service traffic will<br />

be transmitted over carrier owned PDH network<br />

to the <strong>Ethernet</strong> aggregator working at the POP<br />

site.<br />

Raisecom EDD is not only capable of doing<br />

what a layer-2 switch is capable of on <strong>Ethernet</strong><br />

switching, but is inherently good at network<br />

topology, or in a point to multi-point topology as<br />

CPEs. HDLC/GFP encapsulation configurable makes<br />

<strong>RC951E</strong>-<strong>4FEE1</strong> be capable of working with both<br />

Raisecom RC953E series or RC959 series <strong>Ethernet</strong><br />

aggregators.<br />

Apart from local CLI management, <strong>RC951E</strong>-<strong>4FEE1</strong> is<br />

also available with inband web-based management,<br />

and can futhur be monitored in a centralized way on<br />

the GUI of Raisecom NView NNM system.<br />
