RE105: Renewable <strong>Energy</strong><br />
for Educators<br />
This workshop focuses on the impacts that our energy use has on<br />
the planet and how to best teach youth about solutions: energy<br />
conservation, efficiency, and renewable energy technologies.<br />
Each day will include a hands-on element that can be employed<br />
in the classroom. In addition, participants will walk away with<br />
practical knowledge they can apply in their own lives.<br />
This workshop has been designed to meet the 5th - 9th grade<br />
Colorado Science Standards. However, educators working with<br />
students in any grade are welcome to participate.<br />
Each participant will receive:<br />
• Access to SEI's renewable<br />
energy kits<br />
• Curriculum and lesson plans<br />
• Teaching tools and materials<br />
• Experience creating hands-on<br />
projects<br />
• Exposure to successful existing<br />
projects<br />
