Narrowboat Caravelle
Caravelle is a traditional stern
Narrowboat, built by SM
Hudson Boatbuilders. The boat
has SM Hudson’s distinctive
bow and classic lines that
have made these craft so
highly sought after over the
years. The saloon is entered
from the shallow well deck,
and has L-shaped seating with
a demountable table. The
seating converts to an extra
double berth. The saloon is
heated by a Morso Squirrel
solid fuel stove. The galley
is ‘U’ shaped and has a gas
4-ring hob, oven and grill and
a 12v fridge. A set of starboard
side doors open into the galley.
The bathroom has a Thetford
cassette toilet, a basin set into
a vanity unit and the shower
is a square tray with a shower
curtain. The bedroom has a
fixed double bed and a 3/4
height wardroom. There is also
an engine room area at the
stern of the boat which houses
a Beta Marine BV1903 engine
which has a PRM 240 gearbox.
