Foreman (CCTV) May manage and ensure the timely maintenance of department fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment. Receives, reviews, prepares and/or submits various records and reports including vehicle maintenance reports, work orders, equipment maintenance reports, monthly condition assessment reports, fuel consumption reports, and gain sharing report. Interviews and participates in hiring new employees, coordinates payroll and performs other administrative tasks. Performs vehicle and equipment maintenance. Additional Job Functions: Performs any additional duties as required, or through necessity of the situation. Minimum Education and Training Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by at least five years of experience in maintenance and repairs of collection system infrastructure, a valid Class B commercial driver’s license with airbrake and tanker endorsements issued by the State of Florida, at least a Class B Wastewater Collection certification issued by FWPCOA. Preferred Education and Training: Three to five years of experience in cleaning and CCTV of gravity sewer infrastructure with at least one year in a supervisory role. Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting various CCTV equipment. Current PACP certification issued by NASSCO or the ability to obtain within six months. Class A Wastewater Collection certification issued by FWPCOA. Physical Requirements: Minimum Qualifications and Standards Required Must be physically able to operate a vehicle, construction equipment, various tools and a variety of office equipment including a computer, and telephone. Tasks involve the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and which involves the lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (75-100 pounds). Data Conception: Requires the ability to compare and/or judge the readily observable, functional, structural or compositional characteristics (whether similar to or divergent from obvious standards) of data, people or things. Foreman (CCTV) Requires the ability of speaking and/or signaling people to convey or exchange information. Includes giving assignments and/or directions to subordinates and receiving assignments and/or direction from supervisor. Language Ability: Requires the ability to read a variety of policy and procedure manuals, computer manuals, and codes. Requires the ability to enter data into the computer and prepare reports, records, and correspondence with proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar, using all parts of speech. Must be able to speak with poise, voice control, and confidence and to articulate information to others. Intelligence: Requires the ability to apply rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule form. Requires the ability to apply influence systems in managing crews; to learn and understand principles and techniques; to make independent judgments in absence of supervision; to acquire knowledge of topics related to primary occupation. Must have the ability to comprehend and interpret received information. Verbal Aptitude: Requires the ability to record and deliver information, to explain procedures, to follow and give verbal and written instructions; to counsel and teach employees. Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with co-workers and the public. Numerical Aptitude: Requires the ability to add and subtract totals, to multiply and divide, to determine percentages and decimals and to determine time and weight. Must be able to use practical applications of algebra. Form/Spatial Aptitude: Requires the ability to inspect items for proper length, width, and shape, and visually read various information. Motor Coordination: Requires the ability to coordinate hands and eyes using office machinery; to operate motors vehicles. Manual Dexterity: Requires the ability to handle a variety of items, keyboards, office equipment, control knobs, buttons, switches, catches, and tools. Must have minimal levels of eye, hand, and foot coordination. Color Discrimination: Requires the ability to differentiate colors and shades of color.
