ASSA ABLOY,
who are we?
ASSA ABLOY is the global leader in door opening
solutions, and our market is everywhere in the
world where there is a need for secure, safe,
and convenient door openings. ASSA ABLOY is
represented in all major regions, on both mature
and emerging markets, with leading positions
in much of Europe and North America and in
Australasia.
Since its founding in 1994, ASSA ABLOY has grown
from a regional company to an international group
with around 32,000 employees. As the world’s
leading lock group, ASSA ABLOY offers a more
complete range of door opening solutions than any
other company on the market. Furthermore, in the
rapidly growing electromechanical security sector,
the Group has a leading position in fields such as
access control, identification technology, automatic
doors and hotel security.
The Asia Pacific division of ASSA ABLOY has
approximately 5,400 employees and manufacturers
and sells locks, cylinders, electromechanical
products, security doors and fittings. Australia and
New Zealand account for a large part of sales in this
region, with China and other Asian markets rapidly
growing in importance. Some of the division’s
leading brands are Lockwood, Guli, Wangli,
Baodean, Interlock and iRevo.

Welcome to
Interlock News
Meet our Export Team
Welcome to the 1st
issue of Interlock News
for 2009
This newsletter is the first of many new initiatives
to improve the service we provide to you, our
customers.
In May we circulated an ASSA ABLOY customer
satisfaction survey. Thank you to those who
responded! One of the key areas examined in this
survey was communication. We believe that good
communication is an integral part of working
alongside people in other countries as we are all
so different. Time constraints, cultural differences
and language barriers are just a few of the many
diversities of our different countries.
ASSA ABLOY New Zealand recognises that we
have a long history with our export customers.
Our vision is to build on that history; to renew
old friendships and develop new ones. In order
to achieve this, we hope to host a conference for
our export customers in New Zealand in March
2010. This conference will showcase ASSA ABLOY
New Zealand, new products, new people and new
systems. This may be an opportunity for you to
discuss future business ideas and new product
opportunities. We will have more details in the
next issue of the Interlock News.
In the meantime, we encourage you to contact us
if you have any enquiries about the products or
services that we offer. Our expert team of engineers
are always on hand to assist you with any technical
matters you may have. Additionally, we can offer
manufacturing and marketing support that you
may require.
We hope you enjoy the first issue of Interlock News,
please feel free to contact us about anything of
interest to you in the articles you read.
several highly successful partnerships with key customers in core markets all
around the globe. This is a significant area for us and one that we want to build
