Best Places to Work
Every year since 2001, CTC has been named
One of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania.
We are one of only three organizations to have
earned this honor for 12 consecutive years.
Only 29 firms were honored in our category
(large businesses); 71 medium-sized firms
rounded out the top 100.
Winners are derived from the results of two
surveys: an employee survey performed by
an independent third party and an employer
survey about company policies and practices.
The results are analyzed according to several
focus areas including leadership, work
environment, and communications.
Top 100 R&D Company
Centurion Research Solutions ranked CTC 54th
among the Top 100 Research and Development
(FY12). CTC was among more than 6,900
unique vendors who collectively had more than
$52 billion in R&D contract activity.
Workplace Excellence
At the heart of a great work environment are
employees who are engaged and have a strong
desire to be fully invested in the value that the
organization creates. How we do business
makes CTC unique. Adding value to the
workplace continuously allows CTC to expand
its professional and technical opportunities with
current clients as well as future clients.
Findings from an Employee Engagement
survey and ideas brought forth by employees
have led to numerous employee-driven efforts.
New initiatives and positive changes continue
to emerge, including:
Biking to Work = Multiple Benefits
It doesn’t have to be Bike to Work Week for
these employees from CTC’s Crystal City,
VA, office to commute from their homes in
Washington, D.C. and Virginia. They are: (left
to right) Audrey Barrett, Alaina Armel, Bryahn
Ivery, and Eric Sakmar.
Audrey said, “As a public health professional,
I believe cycling to work benefits society in
more ways than one. It increases physical
activity, it is emission-free, it provides a sense
of community, and it contributes to national
security by assuring our energy resources are
not being depleted.”
Open Culture Discussion Series – Learning
organizations dive deeper, and CTC is opening
the channels of communication, engaging
employees from all locations to participate in
collaborative discussions on topics that affect a
cultural change toward openness.
Leadership Development Book Club – A
accomplishments and takes the time to thank
