Vineyard Tasting Experience
From Sedona, enjoy a leisurely
drive west through the
neighboring towns of Cornville,
and Cottonwood till you meander
all the way to the end of a dirt
road that butts up against the
Verde River. Here you will find
Alcantara Vineyard, which is
northern Arizona’s largest estate
vineyard. Encompassing nearly
80 acres of of available land, this is the areas largest continuous vineyard. Producing
about 15 different vines, annually ranging from fruity whites to big and bold reds, there’s
sure to be here a wine to meet your fancy. For those liking desert wines, we love their
Moscotto.
While enjoying your VIP wine tasting, you have the choice to sit in the comfort of the
tasting room or out on the back lawn facing the vineyard. We can even take a stroll
down through the vineyard to the wedding chapel located right on premises.
Also on the property is the confluence of Oak Creek and the
Verde River. For those of you that may be enjoying Oak
Creek while visiting Sedona, it actually ends or terminates
into the Verde River. That connection point of two waterways,
we call the Confluence, which they have a wine named after.
In the limestone cliffs adjacent to where these rivers meet,
you will see cliff dwellings dating back to the Anazi and
Sinagua Indian cultures.
If your tour takes place on a Friday or Saturday, and we can
get you to the vineyard by 11:30am, you get to enjoy vineyard
tour from the knowledgeable staff of Alcantara.
This is a vehicle based tour and lasts about three hours. Your
VIP wine tasting is included in the cost of your tour. The cost
of this tour is $125 per adult. If you wish to extend your tour
beyond three hours, its just $35 per hour per adult more.
