Compact High Energy
Power Amplifiers.
The Brooke Beta series
is a range of very flexible
amplifiers intended
for a wide range of
applications including:
medium power full
range systems; portable/
mobile applications,
small live venues; theatre
and club localised
amplification; small
to medium venue line
arrays; in-fill for larger
venues and low/mid/high
frequency multi-amplifier
installations.
High Energy with
Lower Weight
Beta series amplifiers
have all the benefits of
linear power supplies,
utilising annular
transformers for minimal
distortion when running
close to maximum power
levels. However, despite
the use of linear power
supplies and reservoir
capacitor technology, this
range is typically 30%
lighter than some other
products, albeit with
lower output power. Ideal
for full range systems,
they deliver powerful
bass, clear and crisp
middle frequencies for
speech and sharp, tight
highs for a complete
“rich” sound.
Microprocessor Control
The Brooke Beta
linear power amplifiers
are right up to date,
using microprocessor
technology to control the
audio level, frequency
adjustment etc. The blue
coloured backlit high
visibility LCD screen
located on the front
panel provides setup
information, level settings
etc. The range includes
a memory facility to
ensure last settings are
accurately recalled,
regardless of front panel
volume control positions.
LED indicators are also
provided for signal
presence, signal peak,
power and active
circuitry protection.
Safety First
Brooke Beta amplifiers
use electronic
temperature monitoring
that will operate the
forced air cooling system
in direct proportion to
the temperature of the
key components.
Over-temperature trips
add a second level
of system protection
if the air vents
become obstructed.
Anti-clipping audio
circuitry ensures that
overdriving the input
by as much as 30dB
will not overdrive the
amplifiers and this
helps to protect the
connected loudspeakers.
In addition, DC output
protection circuits also
help to protect your
valuable loudspeakers
from damage.
The Brooke Beta Range
Brooke Beta amplifier
models are all 2U high
and are intended for 19”
rack mounting or free
standing use. They are
all 480mm deep and
are available in three
popular versions: the
BR1200 delivering up to
1200 watts, the BR1500
delivering up to 1500
watts and the BR2040
delivering up to 2040
watts. All models feature:
electronic variable
gain twin front panel
controls; 8 LED status
indicators; selectable
input sensitivity; XLR
balanced line inputs;
6.35mm (¼”) balanced
jack line outputs;
terminal post and
locking connectors for
loudspeaker connection;
stereo, mono and bridge
mode operation; front
panel protection handles
and metal case with
rackmount ears.
