Forcer and single linear guide
A ServoTube actuator (STA) is shown in use with a
single external friction bearing. This combination
has many applications, both horizontal and vertical.
The external bearing can act to prevent rotation of
the thrust rod, as well as give greater rigidity. If
hollow, the rod can be used to carry cabling, etc to
the work point.
The friction bearings shown are available from thirdparty
suppliers and bolt directly to the forcer using
standard T-nuts.
This solution combines high speed actuation with
complete flexibility of actuation speed and position.
