The History program examines Western heritage,
our U.S. traditions, and great historical civilizations
across the globe. History students are looking to the
past as a way to prepare for the future.

In-depth Study
Opportunities abound for experiential learning as
students participate in a senior project, researching
and writing a thesis, and internships with a museum,
historical society, library, or historical research
program. Classroom learning is further enhanced with
campus convocation events and renowned speakers
who set history in motion.
VI’s historic campus is small and personal, making
every student a valued member of the Intermont
family. Our dedicated history professors are eager
to engage students in analysis of global historical
perspectives, and their enthusiasm for history is
contagious.
