John Wright's Alice is a fullyjointed felt doll with realistic sculpture and hand-painted features. Alice, a limited edition of 750, even wears her trademark Victorian blue dress topped with a silk-trimmed cotton pinafore, striped leggings, hand-cobbled shoes and has a hand-knotted blonde mohair wig with blue hair ribbon. 17". Now $995. ♥ M a d Hat t e r f r o m Al i c e in W o n d e r l a n d Se r i e s Based upon the famous illustrations of Sir John Tenniel, The Mad Hatter wears a linen shirt with French cuffs and mother-of-pearl buttons, polka dot silk tie, meticulously-pieced checkered felt waistcoat and trousers, fully-lined felt jacket covered with buttons, and hand-cobbled leather shoes. From Wright's new Flower Fairies series comes The Christmas Tree Fairy, a fine all wool felt doll with delicately hand-painted features, a fully-jointed body, and a wig produced of the finest imported mohair. She wears a delicate dress of fine organdy and French lace embellished with silk ribbon, and she sports magnificent wings which are sewn, molded, and hand-painted silk. 11 ½". SD-1223. $725. H a z e l Nu t Fa i r y The Hazel-nut Fairy wears a sleeveless shift of softly pleated and hand colored organdy with fetching molded felt cap on her head, and she stands on her own feltcovered base with realistic felt hazel-nut branches attached. 10". Jo h n W r i g h t ' s T h e Pi r a t e K i n g The fourth in R John Wright's Nautical Bears- At-Seas series, The Pirate King stands an impressive 23" tall, is fully-jointed and made of the finest custommade black alpaca plush with detailed shading. His character face features blue glass pupil eyes and a molded leather nose for a pleasant expression that cleverly contrasts the so-slightly-menacing claws on felt paw pads. The Pirate King wears a fully-lined brocade waistcoat and detailed Great Coat embellished with pockets, gilt braid trim, and brass buttons; around his neck is a leather baldric belt studded with brass "RJW" buttons and atop his head rests a leather pirate's hat.
