The following examples look at two safety critical positions within a company. The safety management tasks and required<br />

competency levels for each link back <strong>to</strong> the matrix. These task lists demonstrate possible responsibilities that could be identified<br />

by your company once you have identified safety critical positions.<br />

By enabling the position holders <strong>to</strong> become competent <strong>to</strong> complete the relevant tasks, your company can maximise the likelihood<br />

that staff will undertake the actions that lead <strong>to</strong> a positive safety culture. By cus<strong>to</strong>mising the matrix, your company can reflect your<br />

organisational and regional requirements.<br />
