ASUM is the Peak Body for Medical Ultrasound in Australia and New Zealand
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
The Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine is an Australian and New Zealand multidisciplinary
society whose mission is to advance the clinical practice of medical ultrasound for the highest standards
of patient care. Advancing this mission relies on the dedication and commitment of ASUM members and
staff who work collaboratively on Council, Boards and Committees. With a new strategic plan, new e-
learning and e-communication platform, enhancements in member benefits and membership categories,
broadened conference programs and a fresh approach to all of ASUM’s operations, it is an exciting time
to be associated with ASUM.
ASUM members who wish to volunteer are invited to submit an expression of interest for any of the
following volunteer positions:

Conference Organising Committee
A position will be filled when a term ends or a casual vacancy arises and is subject to the candidate’s
ability to offer a level of responsibility, commitment and expertise as required by the terms of reference.

Council will decide on the composition of Committees and Boards of Examiners for the ensuing year at
the incoming Council Meeting following the Annual General Meeting. Expressions of interest will be
placed on file and the members volunteering their service will be advised as an opportunity arises. While
