Attending an appointment at the <strong>Gait</strong> Analysis Unit based at Campus for<br />
Aging and Vitality (formerly <strong>Newcastle</strong> General Hospital)<br />
The site is easily accessible by car (with plenty of parking) and has bus stops to the front and rear of<br />
the site. The nearest Metro and railway station is <strong>Newcastle</strong> central station.<br />
Park and ride in <strong>Newcastle</strong>.<br />
If travelling from outside <strong>Newcastle</strong>, an option is to use the park and ride facility with the Metro train,<br />
however this will also involve a bus journey from the city centre.<br />
You can phone Traveline North East for information on buses, trains and metros in the region. Their<br />
contact number is 0870 200 22 33.<br />
Directions by car to <strong>Newcastle</strong> General Hospital<br />
The hospital is off Westgate Road (A186) and is signposted either as <strong>Newcastle</strong> General Hospital or<br />
Campus for Aging and Vitality (signs at the entrance to the site are Campus signs).<br />
If you are using GPS, the postcode of the Hospital is NE4 6BE.<br />
Car parking:<br />
There is good parking on site with many disabled places. Disabled parking is free. Charges for nondisabled<br />
places are £1.20 per hour. The closest spaces to the gait lab are marked on the map below.<br />
If you park near the main entrance, there is a long walk.<br />
