Standard 2.7 Supervise personnel<br />

Evidence Examples<br />

• Ability to promptly access and expla<strong>in</strong> policies and procedures applicable to<br />

or impact<strong>in</strong>g on supervised work (e.g. cash handl<strong>in</strong>g, stock acquisition and<br />

management, compla<strong>in</strong>ts handl<strong>in</strong>g, waste disposal and security).<br />

• Ability to describe the def<strong>in</strong>ed roles of supervised personnel.<br />

• Ability to clearly expla<strong>in</strong> policy and procedure changes to supervised personnel.<br />

processes of the organisation.<br />

• Ability to describe the per<strong>for</strong>mance assessment and management process<br />

with<strong>in</strong> their organisation.<br />

• Ability to discuss the key communication factors (e.g. sensitivity, tact and<br />

clarity), content issues (e.g. positive feedback, constructive comment, goals<br />

and strategies) and process issues (e.g. fair deal<strong>in</strong>g and due process) relevant<br />

to provid<strong>in</strong>g per<strong>for</strong>mance feedback.<br />

• Ability to describe the per<strong>for</strong>mance assessment documentation used <strong>for</strong><br />

supervised personnel.<br />

• Ability to discuss per<strong>for</strong>mance and offer constructive criticism and advice<br />

without engender<strong>in</strong>g an adverse response.<br />
