SummaryThe Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist is an active member of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Teamand the Victorian Infectious Diseases Service. The aim of the team is to provide expert advice andeducation to medical staff prescribers and other relevant staff, to implement antimicrobial policy andprescribing guidelines, and to work to achieve cost-effective, high-quality use of antimicrobials thatboth ensures optimal patient outcomes and reduces the emergence of antimicrobial resistance.Strategic Goals influencing key result areasDevelop our WorkforceMelbourne Health acknowledges that it is our people who make us a truly great organisation andthat strong and effective leadership engages, unites and motivates staff.
