Halloween at the Zoo (HATZ) Halloween at the Zoo is a celebration for the entire community that includes free Trick-or- Treating, a Fun House, and music. Halloween at the Zoo has proven itself to be a steadfast, supported and celebrated tradition that is endorsed by local Police & Fire agencies as “A neat place to meet for a safe trick-or-treat”. Since its inception in 1987, the event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the Henry Vilas Zoo. Why Sponsor HATZ? • Your sponsorship dollars will help provide: * Funding for EDUCATION about the animal world * Support in CONSERVATION of the animals and their habitats * Enhancement of quality RECREATION and foster community pride. * Enrichment through creating or improving animal habitats Henry Vilas Zoo is one of the few remaining admission-free AZA Accredited zoos in the country welcoming over half a million visitors each year. Sponsorship Levels Presenting Sponsor - $15,000 Benefits of a $15,000 tax-deductible donation: • Recognition as Presenting Sponsor in all radio and print media. HATZ is highly supported by local media and public relation efforts - A $15,000 value. • Treat stop with your logo displayed - A $600 value. Runner Testimonial : “You all did a wonderful job organizing the race on Sunday. I am very critical, as I have run a lot of races, and you did just a wonderful job. The awards started on time, the race started on time, the course was well marked, and the food was well organized at the end-- awesome work.” - Matt Giesfeldt • A representative from your company to have TV appearances on morn ing and/or evening news programs discussing your company’s involvement with HATZ • Signage in the Zoo leading up to HATZ, during HATZ and two weeks after HATZ, which will be seen by over 300,000 visitors in the fall months. • Your logo displayed on 100 plus volunteer shirts • Your name and logo included in all HATZ e-blasts sent out to 4,000 members • Your name included in all press releases and public service announcements • Your logo placed on the vilaszoo.org website’s homepage with link to your website • Recognition in “Zoo News” and Annual Report
Sponsorship Levels Continued Pumpkin Partner - $1,500 There is another way to support Halloween at the Zoo. Our pumpkin partners are pivotal in helping underwrite the cost of coordinating this family-friendly Halloween event for the community. Benefits of a $1,500 tax-deductible donation: • Recognition as Pumpkin Partner Sponsor in all print media. HATZ is highly supported by local media and public relation efforts - A $5,000 value. • Your logo placed on the vilaszoo.org website’s HATZ page with link to your website • Recognition in “Zoo News” and Annual Report Treat Stop Sponsor - $600 Trick-or-treating is the highlight of the Halloween event, and Treat Stop Sponsors are instrumental in helping the Zoo continue this unique tradition. It is also a great way to involve employees and enjoy the excitement of the event first hand! Treat Stop volunteers have a chance to interact with thousands of guests throughout the day. Sponsors provide volunteers to staff their Treat Stop tent (two or three volunteers needed) from 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sponsors are also responsible for providing 10,000 treats for trick-or-treaters (average cost for treats is $750).
