MANUFACTURED HOUSING UNIT<br />

PERMIT REQUIREMENTS<br />

FOR<br />

APACHE COUNTY<br />

When applying <strong>for</strong> a <strong>manufactured</strong> home <strong>permit</strong>, this department must have the<br />

following items prior to the <strong>permit</strong> being issued:<br />

1. A copy of the septic <strong>permit</strong> from the County Health Department or a letter from the applicable<br />

sanitary district.<br />

2. A plot plan showing: a. the location of all existing buildings or structures.<br />

b. proposed building(s). c. proper setbacks.<br />

3. A map showing the location of the property.<br />

4. Total Valuation of <strong>manufactured</strong> home, not including land.<br />

NOTE: IF THE PROPERTY WAS ACQUIRED WITHIN ONE-HUNDRED TWENTY (120) DAYS PRIOR<br />

TO APPLICATION FOR THE PERMIT, A COPY OF THE RECORDED DEED OR SALES<br />

TRANSACTION IS REQUIRED.<br />

Application fee <strong>for</strong> the <strong>permit</strong> is $245.00. Make checks payable to the Apache County Building Department.<br />

Put your <strong>permit</strong> number on the bottom of your check.<br />

Request <strong>for</strong> inspection must be made at least 24 hours prior to inspection. MUST BE COMPLETELY<br />

SET-UP AND HOOKED TO ALL UTILITIES BEFORE INSPECTION IS REQUESTED.<br />

NOTE: ELECTRICAL WILL NOT BE GREEN TAGGED UNTIL ALL OTHER ITEMS HAVE BEEN<br />

INSPECTED AND PASSED. ALSO, DO NOT PUT SKIRTING ON MANUFACTURED HOME UNTIL<br />

THE UNIT HAS PASSED FINAL INSPECTION.<br />

Installation and inspection in<strong>for</strong>mation is included in this packet.<br />

MOBILE HOME INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS


1. SET UP: Piers at proper intervals<br />

Treated plate and/or wedges (wood)<br />

OR<br />

Jacks at proper intervals<br />

Correct size pads under Jacks<br />

2. WATER: Proper Depth <strong>for</strong> freeze protection. Shut-off valve at inlet to trailer. Freeze<br />

protection above ground.<br />

3. SEWER: Accessible clean-out<br />

Proper Depth & Fall<br />

4. GAS: Proper Depth<br />

Proper flex connection<br />

Shut off valve @ inlet to trailer<br />

Gas pressure test<br />

5. ELECTRIC: Proper flex connection<br />

4-wire feed<br />

Wire size corresponds to breaker panel rating<br />

Neutral wires are isolated from box<br />

Main disconnect rating equal to panel rating<br />

6. SKIRTING: Do not put skirting on until after final inspection<br />

Some one needs to be there to let the inspector in <strong>for</strong> the final inspection.
