This form is an essential part of registering your interest in taking <strong>Outdoor</strong> Ed next year. It does<br />

not, however, guarantee you a place in the course. Please return this to Mr. Arjang in the Boys PE<br />

office no later than Thursday February 28th at 3:00pm.<br />

1. Why do you want to take <strong>Outdoor</strong> <strong>Education</strong>?<br />

2. a) <strong>Outdoor</strong> Ed class is run in the mornings BEFORE the regular school day. You will have class<br />

from 7:30am -8:40am. It is a course that relies on a lot of group work, pre-trip planning and theory<br />

in order for trips to run safely and be enjoyable. Do you commit to excellent attendance and being<br />

on time for these early morning classes? (Circle one)<br />

<strong>Outdoor</strong> Ed is a self-funded course, which means that there is a class enhancement fee of<br />

$400 each student must pay. The fee pays for supply teachers, transportation to/from trips,<br />

park fees, canoe rentals, equipment purchases and maintenance etc. Once accepted into<br />

the course you will have to pay a deposit of $<strong>10</strong>0. The remaining $300 will be paid at the<br />

start of the next school year.<br />
