NEW INVADERS<br />

New invaders are weeds that are new<br />

to <strong>Okanogan</strong> <strong>County</strong>. Extreme effort<br />

is needed to keep these newcomers<br />

from taking hold. The <strong>Okanogan</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong> <strong>Noxious</strong> <strong>Weed</strong> Office will pay<br />

for the treatment of any New Invaders<br />

that you have.<br />

Velvetleaf (Abutilon theophrasti)<br />

Wild 4 O’clock (Mirabilis nyctaginea)<br />

CLASS B DESIGNATE<br />

Dalmatian Toadflax (Linaria dalmatica<br />

ssp. dalmatica)<br />

Program; treatment of New Invader<br />

class at no charge to landowners.<br />

Partners with State, Federal & Private<br />

landowners to organize Coordinated<br />

<strong>Weed</strong> Management Areas.<br />

For Class A Designate noxious weeds<br />

eradication is required by law. Like<br />

the New Invaders, the <strong>Okanogan</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong> <strong>Noxious</strong> <strong>Weed</strong> <strong>Board</strong> will<br />

pay for their treatment.<br />

<strong>Board</strong> meetings are held on the<br />

fourth Tuesday of every month at<br />

4:00 PM in the Commissioners’<br />

hearing room. You are always<br />

invited to attend and your<br />

comments and suggestions are<br />

always welcome. Recertification<br />

credit is available.<br />

CLASS B DESIGNATE<br />

For Class B Designate noxious weeds,<br />

elimination of seed production is required<br />

by law ( RCW 17.10). Though<br />

the <strong>Noxious</strong> <strong>Weed</strong> <strong>Board</strong> does not<br />

pay for the treatment of Class B<br />

Designate noxious weeds, we can provide<br />

the information that you may<br />

need to combat this class of noxious<br />

weeds.<br />

CLASS B and CLASS C<br />

Non-designate Class B and Class C<br />

weeds are required to be controlled<br />

along county corridors & may be in<br />

areas of limited distribution.
