Expandable Epoxy, Adhesion and
Flexible Epoxy Systems
If liquid epoxy resins and curing agents are mixed together, they will
create in-situ foams of desired density and cure in a rigid and dimensionally
stable mass. Expandable epotec ® epoxy systems are suitable for
the production of light-weight, rigid and dimensionally stable components,
starting from prototypes to bulk production. epotec ® epoxy
systems for adhesives are designed to join various similar and dissimilar
substrates providing excellent adhesion over a wide range of service
conditions. Flexible epotec ® epoxy systems are used in a wide
range of applications starting from decorative souvenirs, labels to
mold and patterns for molding RCC components, and PU components.
Applications
epotec ® epoxy systems are suitable for combining light-weight
structures with high mechanical properties for sports equipment,
insulation, molds and tools.
epotec ® tooling systems are used for the production of specially tailor-
made tools. These precise composite tools can fast and simply be
processed in most complicated measures and shapes. They offer
a low thermal expansion and a very good resistance-/weight ratio.
epotec ® systems are predestined for Hand Lay-up molds because of
their broad range of application temperatures from -170° C up to
+130° C and the simple handling.
