NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES<br />
Whether you’re involved in drama, commissioning programmes for kids, adapting content for<br />

MEDIA SUMMIT<br />
The Media Summit is the most valued and respected forum for programme-makers and content<br />
producers looking to network, share ideas and be inspired. It is where the industry needs to<br />
be to connect with the most creative people, and to share and discuss the most exciting and<br />
thought-provoking ideas.The summit attracts over 600 of Europe’s finest producers and<br />
commissioners, as well as industry experts, decision-makers and contributors across all genres.<br />
PUBLIC EVENTS<br />
ROSE D’OR AWARDS<br />
The Rose d’Or Awards were created in 1961 by Marcel Bezençon, the visionary behind the<br />
Eurovision Song Contest, as a celebration of quality programming. It is one of the world’s most<br />
important and prestigious events for TV entertainment and arts programmes. Today television<br />
professionals, producers, managers of private and public television stations and production<br />
company heads from 40 countries participate annually. Since its inception, it has been an<br />
important networking platform and a marketplace for ideas. The Rose d’Or Awards Ceremony<br />
is a red carpet event, in which the Golden Roses for best television entertainment programmes<br />
are presented.<br />
PITCHING SESSIONS<br />
An opportunity to gain exclusive access to more than 50 commissioners from public service<br />
media attending major festivals such as the Sheffield Doc/Fest, Sunny Side of the Doc and the<br />
International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA).<br />
EUROVISION CREATIVE FORUM<br />
The place to showcase innovative PSM programme formats across all genres from Europe and<br />
beyond. The annual event, attended by more than 140 broadcasters and producers, culminates<br />
in a ceremony to celebrate the 7 Best Formats.<br />

The top programmes to hit the screen of dozens of public broadcasters in<br />
the coming months include:<br />
EUROVISION SONG CONTEST (ESC)<br />
The ESC continues to captivate audiences around the world, offering Members a cost-effective<br />
primetime Saturday night show with guaranteed mass viewing. More than 100 million television<br />
viewers tuned in for the 2013 semi and grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest, making it<br />
once again the most watched entertainment programme in Europe.<br />
THE VIENNA PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA<br />
EUROVISION TV services have negotiated Member access for three concerts per year,<br />
including the celebrated New Year’s Concert by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.<br />
EUROVISION YOUNG DANCERS<br />
The aim of the competition is to provide a showcase for top-class contemporary artistic dance<br />
performances and bringing the finest young dancers to international attention, in front of a<br />
large television audience.<br />
ERFURT EXCHANGE<br />
The world’s largest cooperation in preschool children’s TV every year pools up to 200<br />
programmes from more than 50 broadcasters from Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America and<br />
distributes them to more than 50 broadcasters worldwide.<br />
PRIMETIME SCIENCE<br />
EUROVISION TV services coordinate numerous science coproductions, including an ambitious<br />
package of 24 individual programmes involving more than 40 Members, part financed by the<br />
European Union.<br />
EUROVISION TV Lab<br />
This experimental approach to assessing potential new TV content relies on TV audiences to<br />
provide feedback to pilot programmes using social media. The idea, conceived by NPO/Ned3<br />
in Holland, has been tested by five broadcasters.<br />
PROGRAMME In development<br />
EUROVISION and CERN jointly launched a “Call for ideas” to identify entertaining<br />
multiplatform programmes targeting tweens (8-12) with Fundamental physics.<br />
