One of the primary design goals<br />

<strong>for</strong> the new <strong>Wilder</strong> Center<br />

was to develop a community<br />

hub, where individuals and<br />

have used <strong>Wilder</strong> Center’s convening<br />

space <strong>for</strong> a variety of purposes,<br />

including Saint Paul’s State of the City<br />

Address; the Governor’s Summit on<br />

organizations could come<br />

Since opening in January 2008,<br />

<strong>Wilder</strong> Center has hosted more<br />

than 17,000 visitors, with more<br />

than 4,000 attending <strong>for</strong>mal<br />

convening events.<br />

A Message from the President and Board Chair<br />

A recent event, pictured here, featured<br />

a HealthPartners conference on health<br />

care re<strong>for</strong>m. The event brought national<br />

speakers and health professionals from<br />

around the state of Minnesota to discuss<br />

how current ethical issues relate to<br />

health care re<strong>for</strong>m.<br />

The <strong>Wilder</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong> is proud that<br />

<strong>Wilder</strong> Center has so quickly become<br />

a premier Saint Paul gathering point<br />

to work on vital community issues.<br />
