Thank you for choosing <strong>Tri</strong>-<strong>County</strong> <strong>Technical</strong> <strong>College</strong> to be your partner in education as<br />
you prepare for a successful, rewarding future.<br />
At <strong>Tri</strong>-<strong>County</strong> <strong>Technical</strong> <strong>College</strong>, our students come first. Our “open door” philosophy<br />
means we are open to you and committed to your success. Excellent instruction, small<br />
class sizes, and a caring, committed faculty and staff are just a few of the reasons<br />
students choose our college. <strong>Tri</strong>-<strong>County</strong> <strong>Technical</strong> <strong>College</strong> is convenient to residents of<br />
Anderson, Oconee and Pickens counties, and we are dedicated to bringing college closer<br />
to you with our Anderson and Oconee campuses which opened in 2007. In addition, our<br />
growing number of online courses makes pursuing your education with <strong>Tri</strong>-<strong>County</strong><br />
<strong>Technical</strong> <strong>College</strong> even more convenient. Our students are eligible for a number of<br />
federal and state financial aid programs, including State lottery tuition assistance,<br />
which makes the cost of attendance very affordable.<br />
As you peruse the pages of this catalog, you will notice that the <strong>College</strong>’s career<br />
programs prepare students for changing technology in the workplace of today and<br />
tomorrow. We offer programs in university transfer, business and public services,<br />
health education, and industrial and engineering technology. Along with a faculty<br />
and staff who are committed to excellence, we have nearly thirty external advisory<br />
committees to help us keep our curricula aligned with the changing workplace. These employers play a key role in helping develop<br />
our programs. As a result, they seek out and hire <strong>Tri</strong>-<strong>County</strong> <strong>Technical</strong> <strong>College</strong> graduates. Many of our alumni have risen to top<br />
management positions with local, national, and international corporations.<br />

COLLEGE MISSION<br />
<strong>Tri</strong>-<strong>County</strong> <strong>Technical</strong> <strong>College</strong> is a public, two-year community<br />
college dedicated to serving as a catalyst for the economic<br />
and lifelong development of the citizens of Anderson, Oconee,<br />
and Pickens counties through outstanding programs and<br />
unparalleled service. An open admissions institution with <br />
primary focus on teaching and learning, the <strong>College</strong> serves<br />
approximately 6,000 to 7,000 students through both on-campus<br />
and distance learning courses. The <strong>College</strong> grants certificates,<br />
diplomas, and associate degrees in technical, career, and<br />
transfer programs. The <strong>College</strong> also offers certificates in<br />
continuing education programs.<br />
