For a taster of what it’s like to attend BPP Law School, we run a one-week
Summer School in Leeds, London and Manchester. Plus, for non-BPP
students with forthcoming exams, we offer revision programmes designed
to improve your skills and performance.

SUMMER SCHOOL
If you’re unsure if a career in law is for you, our Summer School
offers the perfect opportunity to see what life in law school and
practice would be like, and find out more about the options
available to you.
This one-week programme provides an overview of the different
types of law you can practice, as well as the different roles
available. You’ll also receive vital careers advice, and have the
chance to enjoy a court visit and social events.
The Summer School runs in Leeds, London and Manchester

LLB/GDL REVISION PROGRAMME
Feeling anxious about your forthcoming exams? You can consolidate
your knowledge and improve your confidence through our revision
programme. Taught by experienced practitioners and academics,
the programme is designed by the leading law school, which
provides training exclusively for over 25 of the leading law firms.
This programme has been designed for non-BPP students, to
deepen your knowledge and improve how you approach and
construct your answers in your exams.
The programme runs in London every April and covers the
seven most pertinent areas of the law for the LLB and GDL. You
can opt to take single revision sessions or the whole programme.

BPP also offers a suite of programmes for fully qualified solicitors
and barristers including:
NEW YORK BAR (NYB)
In order to qualify as an attorney-at-law in the State of New York,
you must pass the New York State Bar Exam. The exam is held in
New York twice a year in February and July.
BPP offer a New York Bar preparation course in partnership
with Pieper Bar Review, the leading US provider. It fully prepares
you to pass these challenging law exams and is tailored to lawyers
who haven’t studied in the US — so you don’t need any prior
knowledge of US Law.
HIGHER RIGHTS OF AUDIENCE (HRA)
The Higher Rights of Audience (HRA) qualification allows you to
represent your clients as a solicitor-advocate in the civil or criminal
courts throughout England and Wales. This not only means a
convenient, cost-efficient and complete service for your clients,
it enhances your professional capabilities, standing and fee earning
potential too.
Our course presenters are experts in their field, with a proven
track record in preparing candidates for the both the criminal
and civil assessments. Their experience and expert guidance
will ensure you are fully prepared for the Higher Rights of
Audience assessments.
QUALIFIED LAWYERS TRANSFER SCHEME (QLTS)
The Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme (QLTS) replaced the
Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT) on 1 September 2010
and offers a route to qualification as a solicitor of England
and Wales to lawyers from a wider range of jurisdictions than
under the QLTT arrangements.
It has a more extensive syllabus coverage than the QLTT and
the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has appointed one
assessment organisation for the first three years of the operation
of the assessments: Kaplan QLTS.
QUALIFIED LAWYERS TRANSFER TEST (QLTT)
The Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT) is governed by the
Qualified Lawyers Transfer Regulations (QLTR) 2009 and is a
series of conversion tests across four subject areas (heads) that
enables certain overseas lawyers and UK barristers, to become
qualified as solicitors in England and Wales.
The QLTT is now only available to those who applied for a QLTT
certificate of eligibility from the Solicitors Regulation Authority
(SRA) on or before 31st August 2010. The QLTT has now been
replaced by the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme (QLTS). QLTT
applicants will be required under their certificate of eligibility to
pass certain heads of the QLTT and/or complete a period of work
experience before they can apply for admission as a solicitor of
England and Wales.

QLTT training and Tests is the first step on your path to success.
BAR TRANSFER TEST (BTT)
The Bar Transfer Test (BTT) enables solicitors and qualified
lawyers from other jurisdictions to qualify to practice at the Bar of
England and Wales.
BPP administers the BTT on behalf of the Bar Standards Board.
There are currently two sittings each year in April and September.
