Peripheral electrical nerve stimulation facilitates the performance
of nerve and plexus blocks and has proven over the years to be a
safe and reliable technique.
Now the combination of nerve stimulation with ultrasound
(Advanced Dual Guidance Technique) offers an even bigger
improvement in localizing nerves - visualization of needle and/or
catheter placement combined with feedback on the proximity
of the needle to the target nerve.
B. Braun offers a complete line of peripheral nerve block needles
and catheters – for single shot technique and continuous technique.
Our aim in peripheral nerve blocks (PNB) is to achieve
the highest possible product quality and best results when using
nerve stimulation and ultrasound together.

Regional Anesthesia
The new Contiplex® S sets with an 18G needle, 20° facette
bevel in 50, 100 and 150 mm lengths, and depth markings,
allow a catheter insertion directly through the needle.
The side port assembly makes simultaneous aspiration while
advancing the needle possible, which means additional
protection for the patient.
