Miracle Service

Peggy Lim was devastated
after her divorce. Totally
shaken, broken and bruised,
life had no meaning at all.
Her one focus was to fend for
her only son. However, it all
changed when she met
the Lord.
As a young girl, Peggy would
muse about the meaning
of love. Her large family
was constantly riddled with
frequent financial difficulties
and conflicts and she felt
neglected. To add to her
woes, her marriage was not a
happy one. She was divorced
when Jovi, her son, was only
seven years old. Peggy had a
difficult task of being both a
mother and a father to Jovi.
The harsh circumstances
she encountered hardened
her heart so much so that
she found it hard to cry. Once
when all her loved ones cried
over her very ill mother, Peggy
could not even shed a tear.
Relationship with her
mother was on bad terms
and she would be agitated
and screamed at her for the
slightest of reason during
conversation. Her life was
devoid of joy and meaning. And
when she felt overwhelmed by
her circumstances, she would
just let out loud screams in
her car; of course, with all
the windscreens rolled up.
Besides, she was plagued with
a host of minor but persistent
illnesses. Peggy would feel
dizzy and suffer headaches
practically every day. Should
she catch a cold, it would
take weeks for her to recover.
Despite taking supplements
to boost her immunity system,
her conditions seemed none
the better. Physically and
mentally she was running
on empty.
When Jovi was 10 years old,
he was diagnosed with ADD
(Attention Deficit Disorder).
This condition caused him
to be distracted easily. He
even had trouble completing
simple tasks or activities.
To attract attention, he
would do outlandish things
like screaming and crying.
Eventually, Peggy had him
transferred to a special school
to keep him from being bullied
by his classmates. On top of
it all, Jovi also suffered from
bad stomach cramps and
headaches, and would walk
with a hunch. His shoulders
were droopy and he had
difficulty walking over long
distances or standing too long.
In the midst of this depressing
journey, Peggy started having
frequent nightmares. She
dreamt of a black ball that
would get into her mouth to
choke her. Being jostled out
of her sleep, Peggy would
wake up in the middle of the
night gasping for breath and
feeling aches in her body. This
frightening dream happened
every night. She thought her
air passage might just close
up and she would actually
die in her sleep. Her nagging
concern was, “Who would
take care of Jovi if I were to
die in my sleep?” The fear was
so real that she even gave
her son a list of telephone
numbers to call in case she
failed to wake up.
As God would have it, Peggy
received a Lighthouse Miracle
Service tract from a Lighter
and she merely took a cursory
glance and then put it away.
Some six months later in April
2008, she took it out again
to read as her nightmares
continued to haunt her. That
night, she was awakened by the
same dream three times. After
the third time, she cried out the
name of Jesus in desperation.
She uttered, “Jesus, I need a
good sleep. All I ask is to see
Jovi in the morning. I cannot
die now. Amen.”
After the prayer, she fell into
a peaceful and undisturbed
sleep. Her sleep was so good
that when she woke up, her
body no longer ached. From
then on, every night she would
utter that prayer. And the
dream did not return anymore.
Hallelujah!
Two days later, Peggy decided
to attend Miracle Service at
our healing center in Tampines
with her Lighter friend. Jovi
accompanied her although
with some resistance.
During worship, something
remarkable happened to
Peggy. She was so touched that
her tears started to flow freely.
She felt as if she had finally
come home. When Jovi was
being prayed for, he too felt the
Lord moving within him. They
both went home rejoicing and
praising God.
At the following Miracle
Service, Jovi received a
miracle. During service,
he felt two heated hands
touching his lower back.
The next day, Peggy noticed
that Jovi’s back was totally
straightened. He himself felt a
difference in his gait and that
he could walk straight and
long distances with ease. He
was overjoyed. Progressively,
even his stomach cramps and
headaches disappeared too.
As Peggy continued attending
the Miracle Service, she began
to enjoy a sweet communion
with Jesus. She saw the hand of
God helping her in many areas
of her life. In one instance, she
rejoiced that God miraculously
guided her from a sticky
personal problem.
Miracles after miracles were
happening in Jovi’s life. He
could even text his mom on his
mobile phone, a thing that he
could not do before. He could
even formulate words and write
in complete sentences. It was
a glorious breakthrough! God
also healed Peggy of inflamed
bunions and acne on her back
and stomach area that had
plagued her for 20 years.
Peggy’s parents saw the
transformation in the lives
of Peggy and Jovi. They were
also touched by the joy and
healing that Peggy and her son
experienced. One night, Peggy’s
mother had a dream of Jesus.
He gave her a Bible and told her
to ask her daughter to explain
it to her. The following week,
she went to the Miracle Service
and received salvation. She
had diabetes and hypertension
for more than 20 years and
required medication daily. God
healed both her conditions
and she had stopped her
medication.
Peggy’s Dad was a chain
smoker for 52 years. He tried
quitting many times but to no
avail. A few months after he
received Christ, he successfully
quit smoking with no side
effects whatsoever. When
Peggy’s younger brother saw
the joy in his parents, his sister
and his nephew, he too was
convicted and willingly received
Jesus as his Savior and Lord.
Indeed, the name of Jesus is
powerful. His name is above all
names and we give Him all the
glory and honor. Amen.

April 2 is Good Friday. On that day, we will be conducting
two services – 9.00 am and 11.15 am. These two services
will help us to commemorate Christ’s death on the Cross.
It will also culminate in a celebration of His triumphant
Resurrection from death. Do invite your loved ones and
friends to join us at the Good Friday Service. Come and
let’s worship our Glorious King, the King of Heaven!
This event will be held live at LE Woodlands and videoconferenced
to LE Tampines.
In LE Woodlands, children will be directed to levels 3 and
4 of the Sanctuary. And in LE Tampines, children will be
allowed to sit in the back wings of the Sanctuary.

read the book, Sure Foundation,

Many people lost their loved ones and everything
they had in the recent earthquake in Haiti. A group
of Christian organizations, in collaboration with
Lighthouse Evangelism, will be conducting a
concert to help rebuild Haiti.
Tickets at $10 each are now available after the
service at the lobby in LE Woodlands and the car
porch in LE Tampines. All proceeds will go directly
to the victims through World Vision.
The concert Let Haiti Sing Again will be held on
April 30 in LE Woodlands Sanctuary at 7.30 pm.
There will be some live performances and a time of
worship to God too. Do bring someone along and let
us do our part in helping the children of Haiti sing
again and find hope.

10 PRINCIPLES OF HEALTH
An excerpt taken from the book Health And Longevity written by Pastor Rony Tan
1. An intimate relationship with God
I cannot conceive life without God, either
on earth or in eternity. We are talking
about being connected with the ultimate
Source of life and power. If God is for me,
with me and in me, surely He will keep me
in good condition.
2. A clear conscience
If I settle all accounts with God and man,
I will surely have a clear conscience.
It will then mean that I can eat better,
sleep better and live better. That itself
is healthy living.
3. Resolution of inner conflicts
If I learn to forgive and not harbor
bitterness in my heart, the majority of my
inner conflicts would have been solved.
In the absence of needless conflicts and
strife in my heart, God’s fountain of youth
will be activated in my life.
4. Cleanliness within and without
Purity always brings power. Cleanliness
is godliness and godliness is abundant
life. Healthy living means clean thoughts
and deeds.
5. Being diligent
Hard work has never killed anyone; rather,
it rewards and makes the heart glad. A
happy heart is a young heart. Cheerful
diligence brings health and life.
6. Solution consciousness
The opposite of solution consciousness
is problem consciousness. Solution
consciousness always brings you
enlightenment and enlightenment
will put a spring in your steps.
7. A healthy and balanced diet
You are what you eat. Some people have
dug their own graves with their own
mouths. Eat wisely and live youthfully.
8. Sound sleep
Work hard and sleep well. Tell me honestly,
do you look better in the morning after a
good night’s rest or having no sleep at all?
The answer is obvious.
9. Regular exercise
Our bones and muscles actually become
smaller and begin to deteriorate if they are
not exercised. If that is the case, all the
products and creams for youthfulness will
not do you any good if exercise and growth
stimulation are missing.
If the structure of your entire body is
not only shrinking but also collapsing,
do something about your inactivity. And
as you do so, pray and praise God for
effective results.
10. A challenge in life
Do you have something challenging to look
forward to all the time? If you do, you know
you cannot afford to grow old and useless.
That meaningful and powerful dream will
keep you vibrant.
