Moments Of Truth

When we trust God, He will restore, deliver
and heal us physically, emotionally and
spiritually. The following testimonies attest to
the truth that Jesus is Our Mighty Healer and
He still heals today!
Steven Yu Ban Chuan’s daughter worked as
a nurse in Australia. In 2008, she returned to
Singapore for her vacation. During that time,
she went to a gathering in a chalet and heard
some ghost stories. After that gathering, she
began to act abnormally. She would often
dance and change into a totally different
person. Her condition worsened within a
week, so much so that family members had to
send her to Institute of Mental Health. Doctors
diagnosed her with severe psychotic disorder.
Steven quickly solicited a few believers to pray
for his daughter. Two Powerlighters prayed
for her and within a week, his daughter fully
recovered from her condition. Praise the
Lord! Pastor Rony shared that night that fear
does not come from God. He said that people
who love to hear ghost stories or watch them
on television could become fearful as a result
of it. They should not allow the enemy to have
a foothold in their lives. Steven also had a
second testimony. He shared that when he
planned to testify tonight, he experienced an
acute pain in his wrist. He prayed over it and
the pain left him.
Tan Beng Hock is 68 years old and suffered
from a back pain for 15 months. The back pain
was due to a stroke that he had recovered
from. The pain was so acute that he had to
take painkiller three times a day. He has been
faithfully attending the Miracle Service for the
past months and trusting God for his healing.
Two days ago, Beng Hock stopped taking the
painkiller and to his delight, he no longer
experienced pain.
Huang Yong Ning, 62, received a remarkable
miracle from the Lord. Doctors diagnosed him
with third stage cancer of the bladder. He was
told that he had to go through two months of
chemotherapy. He might even have to remove
his bladder and undergo a complicated
procedure to ensure urine could be properly
discharged. Mr. Huang had been coming to the
Miracle Service since August last year. Last
week after consultation with his doctor, who
did a scope on him, he was certified healed
of cancer and given a clean bill of health. God
had healed him of his condition even without
him going for chemotherapy or surgery.
Juliet Khoo, 50, experienced an outbreak of
rashes on her feet, forearms and other parts
of her body. She had this allergic reaction for
almost three weeks. The rashes were so bad
that she had to dip her legs and arms into
hot water to relieve the itch. The injection
that was given to her did not seem to work.
She attended the Miracle Service and kept
faith with God. The very next day the itch was
totally gone. The Lord delivered her totally
from her rashes in just three days. Juliet also
prayed for her husband to get a job. God not
only provided him a job, but also gave him a
position higher than what he had asked for.
Praise the Lord!
Lau Chai Kuan shared two testimonies. A
few weeks ago, she remembered a powerful
testimony of a sister who prayed in proxy
for her relative and that person got healed.
When her brother was recovering from a C5-
C7 spondylitis surgery in May, she prayed in
proxy for him. To her surprise, he recovered
very fast and was discharged that Monday.
Since last June, Chai Kuan herself was
suffering from muscle degeneration. In her
condition, her immune system attacked her
muscles and skin. As a result, it was quite
impossible for her to even climb a flight of
stairs. Chai Kuan is amazed that she is now
able to walk up the steps all by herself. She
believes that she will be totally healed of her
condition. Glory to Jesus!

God had made human beings to be
creatures of eternity. The account of
the rich man and Lazarus is often
used to illustrate the two eternal
destinations that men would finally
end up in. However, apart from
talking about our eternal destinations,
the Lord also has some other important
lessons for us through this story.

40-Day Prayer and Fast
Have you ever wondered why God created our bodies to
hunger and to thirst; that as we hunger we should be satisfied
by food and as we thirst, by water?
Because we should have an idea of who our glorious Christ
is like when He declares in John 6:35 (ESV): “I am the bread
of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever
believes in me shall never thirst.” All things, including bread
and hunger, are created for the glory of Christ. When we
partake of bread, we taste the emblem of the true Heavenly
Bread – Jesus. When we fast, we say, “I prefer the true Bread
above the emblem!”
In the midst of enticing worldly distractions and temptations,
the youths are choosing to find satisfaction in the Cross.
Many are fasting, not just from food, but even from facebook
and online gaming. We strongly encourage all parents of
Speedlighters to fast and pray alongside them as a family
and also participate in the following activities:

Speedlight Services
During the recent school holidays, the Speedlighters had
taken to the poorer areas of Singapore to capture short
films of the homeless, laborers, road cleaners and other
disadvantaged groups. These will be screened in our
Speedlight services as we unite our hearts to intercede for
them. Join us to watch and pray!
