The <strong>MEL</strong> should include the dispatch conditions associated with flights conducted in<br />
accordance with the operational approval / permission e.g. RVSM, RNAV, ETOPS etc.<br />

Operational and maintenance procedures are part of the <strong>MEL</strong>. They are an integral<br />
part of the compensating conditions needed to maintain an acceptable level of safety,<br />
enabling the Director-General to approve the <strong>MEL</strong>. The Director-General may<br />
request presentation of specific (O) and/or (M) procedures in the course of the <strong>MEL</strong><br />
