horizontal bars, 522, 522.S and 521.G as a perspex element
and 525 and 537 as a crosshair - 528 and 521.FQ can easily be
switched from horizontal level bars to a fine crosshair
• once set the iris is held in position with a lock-collar
• models 521.G, 522 and 536 use glass (not perspex) optically
finished to eliminate image distortion
• the iris is lacquered during production for smooth operation
throughout a lifetime‘s use
is easily adjusted by a quick twist and negates need for
time-wasting by inserting standard individual elements
• all our M.18 and M.17 foresight irises are supplied with an
additional push-fit annular ring which can be applied to the
shooter‘s side of the foresight to increase the external black
area around the aiming picture
• adaptor 5018 is available for attaching our M.18 lenses, levels,
screens or an anti-glare tube. 5022 for M.22 applications
- however our M.18 foresight tube will screw directly to
our 581-22 level and M.18 + M.22 lenses if this is required.
The flat face of the iris nearest to the shooter is unscrewed
with the use of a broad rubber band across one thumb and the
adaptor inserted ready for the attachment of our accessories.
Gehmann´s interchangeability of units is unique
