I have a strong love for old analogue<br />
technologies <strong>and</strong> at the same time<br />
am captured <strong>and</strong> fascinated by new<br />
ones <strong>and</strong> by the exploration that<br />
both old <strong>and</strong> new can intersperse in<br />
my creative process: challenges to<br />
overcome are my main incentive to<br />
go forward <strong>and</strong> explore.<br />
I am a very instinctive <strong>and</strong><br />
impressionist photographer, just<br />
as hungry <strong>and</strong> curious in my taking<br />
photographs as I am as a person.<br />
My inspirations <strong>and</strong> influences come<br />
from everything that surrounds<br />
me - but this is very far from saying<br />
that I like photography per se <strong>and</strong><br />
would rush at shooting anything.<br />
On the contrary, I am a rather picky<br />
photographer when it comes down<br />
to the choice <strong>of</strong> my subjects.<br />
I consider recognizing my themes<br />
<strong>and</strong> finding a style <strong>of</strong> my own as key<br />
points <strong>of</strong> my work.<br />
The latest project I have been<br />
- <strong>and</strong> still am - working on is a<br />
series <strong>of</strong> painterly iPhoneography<br />
photographs titled VeroSimile (a<br />
pun between real <strong>and</strong> plausible<br />
but also similar <strong>and</strong> probable), an<br />
exhibition where to highlight the<br />
painting-like qualities <strong>of</strong> the works<br />
<strong>and</strong> give more plausibility to the final<br />
result, all panels are embellished<br />
with pr<strong>of</strong>essionally-crafted wooden<br />
frames.<br />
