Visitor centre & café<br />
Begin your trip to <strong>Killhope</strong> with a look around the visitor<br />
centre. Our friendly reception staff will help you make<br />
the most of your visit by telling you what to look out for<br />
and what not to miss.<br />
Along with exhibitions and temporary displays, this<br />
building includes the café, gift shop and toilets.<br />
Pip’s café is open daily from 10.30am – 5.00pm serving<br />
a wonderful choice of light lunches and snacks.<br />

You can’t miss the huge 10 metre<br />
(34 feet) Armstrong water wheel.<br />
It was just one of many turning<br />
during the 1870s in this area. It is<br />
the largest surviving water wheel<br />
in the North of England and it<br />
still powers machinery in Park<br />
Level Mill today.<br />
