Five students of Ahobila<br />
Math School, West Mambalam<br />
secured top State ranks in the<br />
Std. 12 State board examination,<br />
the results of which were<br />
announced on May 22.<br />
V. Priya and S. Bhavani secured<br />
the State third rank in<br />
Sanskrit. Both scored 1188/<br />
1200 and scored centums in<br />
Business Maths, Commerce<br />
and Accountancy.<br />
T. N. Vaishali (1182) secured<br />
the State first in Statistics, V.<br />
Yuvaraj (1176) State second<br />
and V. Srinivasan (1181) State<br />
third.<br />
The school had a 100% pass<br />
percentage and 143 out of 246<br />
students who took the exam<br />
scored 1100 or more marks.<br />

Traffic Police were seen peeling<br />
off dark sun control films<br />
pasted on the windows and<br />
windshields of vehicles following<br />
a Supreme Court order.<br />
A fine of Rs. 100 was also<br />
levied on offending cars.<br />
Since the interpretation of<br />
the extent of transparency/<br />
darkness was left to the Traffic<br />
Inspectors, it often led<br />
to arguments with the motorists.<br />
