West Bengal Agro Industries Corporation Ltd., A Govt. of WB Undertaking, is looking for the
following personnel:
1. Executive Engineer - 1 No. (On Contract Basis)
Minimum Qualification & Experience: A degree in Civil Engineering from
recognized institute of India. Minimum 6 years experience in civil construction,
handling and maintenance of civil works, preparation of estimates/project reports,
tender documents, evaluation of tenders and other allied jobs. Well conversant in
computer application/Auto CAD. Age limit: Not below 18 years and not more than 45
years as on 31.07.2013. Monthly Consolidated Remuneration Rs.40,000/-. The retired
Executive Engineer of PWD/WRI&D Deptt, Govt. of West Bengal having knowledge
of road/building construction may also apply. The retired applicant must be within 62
years of age as on 31.07.2013. The period of contract would be initially for one year
and may be extended according to the necessity of such engagement. The salary of the
superannuated candidate would be fixed on the principle of last pay drawn minus
pension, otherwise salary would be fixed on negotiated term.
2. Assistant Engineer – 1 No. (On Contract basis)
Minimum Qualification & Experience: A degree in Mechanical Engineering from a
recognized institution. 1(One) year practical experience after graduation in repair and
maintenance of tractors, power tillers, pump sets and agricultural machinery under any
reputed organization. The applicants should be well conversant in preparation of
estimates, tender documents, evolution of tender and other allied jobs and computer
application. In Contract service, the monthly consolidated salary would be Rs.
30,000/- and the period of contract would be initially for one year and may be extended
according to the necessity of such engagement. The age limit is not below 18 years
and not more than 45 years as on 31.07.2013.
3. Assistant Engineer – 1 No. (On direct recruitment)
Minimum Qualification & Experience: A degree in Civil Engineering from a
recognized institution. 1(One) year practical experience after graduation in civil
construction, handling and maintenance of civil works under any reputed organization.
The applicants should be well conversant in preparation of estimates, tender
documents, evolution of tender and other allied jobs and computer application/Auto
CAD. In direct recruitment the selected candidate would be placed in Pay Band Scale
of PB-4(Rs.9000-40,500) + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/- plus other allowances as
admissible under the rules of the Corporation. The age limit is not below 18 years and
not more than 40 years as on 31.07.2013.

4. Sub Assistant Engineer (On direct recruitment) – 8 Nos. in Mechanical Wing
Minimum Qualification & Experience: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Degree from recognized institute of India/Diploma from the State Council for Engg.
and Technical Education, WB., or its equivalent. Minimum 2-3 years experience in
repair and maintenance of tractors, power tillers, pump sets and agricultural machinery
under any reputed organization, preparation of estimates/project reports, tender
documents, evaluation of tenders and other allied jobs. Well conversant in computer
application. The selected candidate would be placed in Pay Band Scale of PB-
3(Rs.7100-37600/-) + Grade Pay of Rs. 3900/- plus other allowances as admissible
under the rules of the Corporation. The age limit is not below 18 years and not more than
40 years as on 31.07.2013.
5. Sub Assistant Engineer (On direct recruitment) – 2 Nos. in Civil Wing
Minimum Qualifiction & Experience: Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering. Degree
from recognized institute of India/Diploma from the State Council for Engg. and
Technical Education, WB., or its equivalent. Minimum 2-3 years experience in
roads/building constructions, preparation of estimates/project reports, tender
documents, evaluation of tenders and other allied jobs. Well conversant in computer
application/Auto CAD. The selected candidate would be placed in Pay Band Scale of
PB-3(Rs.7100-37600/-) + Grade Pay of Rs. 3900/- plus other allowances as admissible
under the rules of the Corporation. The age limit is not below 18 years and not more than
40 years as on 31.07.2013.
6. Sub Assistant Engineer (On direct recruitment) – 3 Nos. in Agriculture Engg.
Wing
Minimum Qualification & Experience: Degree/Diploma in Agricultural Engineering.
Degree from recognized institute of India/Diploma from the State Council for Engg.
and Technical Education, WB., or its equivalent. Minimum 2-3 years experience in
repair and maintenance of tractors, power tillers, pump sets and agricultural
machinery/agricultural equipments/implements etc. under any reputed organization,
preparation of estimates/project reports, tender documents, evaluation of tenders and
other allied jobs. Well conversant in computer application. The selected candidate
would be placed in Pay Band Scale of PB-3(Rs.7100-37600/-) + Grade Pay of Rs.
3900/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules of the Corporation. The age
limit is not below 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 31.07.2013.
7. Sub Assistant Engineer (On direct recruitment) – 1 No. in Electrical Wing
Minimum Qualification & Experience: Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Degree from recognized institute of India/Diploma from the State Council for Engg.
and Technical Education, WB., or its equivalent. Minimum 2-3 years
repair/maintenance of electrical installations, preparation of estimates/project reports,
tender documents, evaluation of tenders and other allied jobs. Well conversant in
computer application. The selected candidate would be placed in Pay Band Scale of
PB-3(Rs.7100-37600/-) + Grade Pay of Rs. 3900/- plus other allowances as admissible
under the rules of the Corporation. The age limit is not below 18 years and not more than 40
years as on 31.07.2013.

8. Jr.Accountant – 6 Nos. (On direct recruitment)
Minimum Qualification & Experience: B.Com with 2 years experience in
commercial accounting, Finance and Tax in reputed organization. Well conversant in
(i) computer accounting with latest version of Tally software and (ii) handling daily
accounting activities including finalization of bank reconciliation, party reconciliation,
TDS, balance sheet etc The selected candidate would be placed in Pay Band Scale of
PB-3(Rs.7100-37600/-) + Grade Pay of Rs. 3600/- plus other allowances as admissible
under the rules of the Corporation. The age limit is not below 18 years and not more
than 40 years as on 31.07.2013.
9. Jr.Storekeeper – 4 Nos. (On direct recruitment)
Minimum Qualification & Experience: (i) A pass in School Final or equivalent
examination, (ii) 2 years practical knowledge about operation and maintenance of
tractors, power tillers, pump sets and agricultural machinery or handling technical
store. Cash security of Rs.1000/- and Fidielity bond for Rs.1000/- are required to be
furnished by the selected candidates. The selected candidate would be placed in Pay
Band Scale of PB-2(Rs.5400-25200/-) + Grade Pay of Rs. 2600/- plus other allowances
as admissible under the rules of the Corporation. The age limit is not below 18 years
and not more than 40 years as on 31.07.2013.
10. Lower Division Assistant cum Typist – 8 Nos. (On Contract Service)
Minimum Qualification & Experience: (i) A pass in School Final or its equivalent.
Acquisition of elementary knowledge in Computer Operation with the ability of typing
on Computer at the speed of 35 W.P.M (English) from a reputed organisation for a
period of not less than 6 (six) months In Contract service, the monthly consolidated
remuneration would be Rs. 10,000/- and the period of contract would be initially for
one year and may be extended according to the necessity of such engagement. The
age limit is not below 18 years and not more than 45 years as on 31.07.2013.

2. An applicant would be eligible to make application for one category of post only.
The choice of the applicant for multiple category of post will not be entertained
and in such cases the application of the said applicant would be cancelled for all
categories of post applied for. The last date of receipt of application by this office is 30th
August, 2013 upto 4.30 PM. Applications received after 30th August, 2013 upto 4.30 PM
will not be considered even if it is posted/on courier service prior to any date of 30 th
August,2013.
3. The selected candidates in all cases would be liable to be posted anywhere in the state
of West Bengal. The actual no. of vacancy to be filled up may increase/decrease as per
requirement of the Corporation if the circumstances so warrant. The Corporation reserves the
right not to fill up any of the vacancies/post(s) mentioned herein above. The contractual
employees engaged under Office Support Service of this Corporation are not
eligible to apply for the above posts.
4. The reservation of post will be as per rules of Govt. of WB. In case of non availability of
candidates in reserved category the post will be filled up by general candidates.
5. The list of eligible candidates and interview schedule for each category of post would
be published in the website of this Corporation (www.wbagroindutries.com). No
queries regarding eligible candidates/interview schedule would be entertained.
6. The requests for change of interview schedule will not be entertained.
7. Since applications received would be shortlisted, merely possessing the prescribed
qualification and requisite experience would not entitle an applicant to be called for
interview.
8. Incomplete application in any form will not be considered.
9. Canvassing in any form shall disqualify an applicant.
