Sexuality and Reproductive Health
The foundation’s work in sexuality
and reproductive health supports
civil society organizations that
promote public debate of these
issues.
These teenagers at the Pilot City
Health Center in Minneapolis are
part of a national initiative to
promote understanding of human
sexuality, particularly as it relates
to adolescent development.
With support from the Academy
for Educational Development, the
center (like similar communitybased
organizations in Oklahoma
City and Seattle) is working
closely with the local health department
to redefine public education
about sexuality, reduce teen pregnancy
and curb the transmission of
sexually transmitted diseases.
