Program fills gaps
This September, CCA provided a much-needed laptop to 17-yearold
Braydon from Vancouver, WA. Braydon’s leukemia has
left him legally blind and he required a computer to
use special software that will read aloud to him and
magnify text. “Braydon is thankful for the outpouring
of support: it reminds him to keep going,”
says his grandmother. The LifeSupport Family
Enrichment program provides compassion and
assistance to families battling a life-threatening
illness and in financial crisis with essential
needs, wish fulfillment, bilingual services

Trips to the Hospital Are a Little More Fun,
Thanks to Chemo Pal ® mentors
CCA has brought the power of friendship to 56 new children and teens undergoing chemotherapy
since January 2008, including Chemo Pal Krystal and 4-year-old Chelsea. Says
Chelsea’s mom, “Chelsea and Krystal are the perfect
match! They are inseparable when together and get
along really well. Chelsea really looks forward to
Krystal’s visits, and Krystal is always really positive
and fun. We love her!” The Chemo Pal program
matches adult mentors with children
and teens battling cancer, providing the
