The Council is currently investing in<br />

investment. It is anticipated that this<br />

investment will lead to:<br />

- 2000 new jobs created<br />

space created for business use<br />

- 25 hectares of new employment<br />

land created<br />

- £31 million of additional Gross Value<br />

Added (GVA) created per year<br />

This will help to meet the rapidly<br />

changing needs of business in the 21st<br />

century. Knowsley already has a strong<br />

reputation for treating its environment<br />

seriously with award winning businesses<br />

based in the borough. It aims to become<br />

<br />

businesses driving the uses of low and<br />

zero carbon fuels and meeting its carbon<br />

emission targets. As plans for the wider<br />

regeneration of Knowsley Industrial and<br />

Business Park come to fruition, further<br />

opportunities will follow.<br />
