Basic Overview
AVX designed this connector for use inside LED light bulb assemblies, where a perpendicular PCB connection is
needed through the rear of the main LED PCB. The connector has multiple uses in addition to the primary
application, and can be used for rear connections on strip PCB´s or other applications requiring rear plug-ins.
Positioning
This product is UL94V0 flammability rated and is halogen free, due to the use of a new plastic material which reaches
the highest flammability rating without the use of halogens.
Applications
• LED light bulb assemblies
• Portable commercial/industrial hand held terminals,
scanners, meters, etc…
• Solid State Lighting fixtures
• Industrial electronic modules and controls
Unique Features
Top Selling Points
• Perpendicular PCB connection through the rear
of the main PCB
• Available from 2 through 6 positions with an
optional cap, covering live terminals
• Low profile top-side height of only 0.6mm
(without cap) and 1.0mm (with cap)
• Connector can take both 0.8mm and 1.6mm
mating PCB´s
• 2 AMP current rating, 250V
The through board card edge connector has gold plated BeCu contacts that provide high reliability, a unique design
for harsh environments from -40◦C to +120◦C, and has passed 1000 hours at 120◦C of heat endurance testing.
