The Industrial Process Group (IPG) is a
Dilling Group company focused on providing

As technology evolves, so does every major manufacturing

in multiple facets of industry, we have seen a steady

We at the Industrial Process Group (IPG) believe this

needed to keep up with the advancing technology to

The core of this starts with a solid hardware understanding
and engineering team. We have developed
and are ever- improving the base standards that we
use to not only design a project, but to develop it in
conjunction with our customers. Standard part lists,
network design and overall structure of the system
are key components. This is all performed by our
engineering staff that is rapidly becoming harder to
find.
As time goes by, we are witnessing a steady decrease
in Controls Engineers with adequate real world experience.
Many younger graduates from college appear
to be going into positions of system specifications,
project management/oversight and ongoing maintenance
support type roles. This has caused a void of
engineers that have adequate training to begin a
project from a blank piece of paper. To counter this,
we have begun hiring young engineers out of school
and/or plant engineering and facilities maintenance
and putting them in an intern position underneath a
skilled senior engineer. This has allowed us to train
individuals in our methodologies and philosophies to
ensure our customers are receiving the best solution
that money can buy.

This Paint Line installation (Images above) was a large success for our Dilling Group companies involved on this IPG project.
The integration of multiple vendors, along with the DGI mechanical and electrical departments, IDG structural design, with work and
labor provided by ULG, made for a valuable statement to our client in Mississippi. The monorail conveyor system consists of a catalytic
pre-heat/drying, controlled atmosphere painting and post process catalytic baking/curing of a multitude of custom parts utilized in the building
of the ships in the Gulf Coast. The system provides the customer with an efficient means of painting all of their small parts (up to 500lbs)
while providing a repetitive high quality paint adhesionand curing process.
In spite of scheduling delays caused by a hurricane this summer, the project was pulled off on budget and on time.
We are a registered UL 508A and 698A panel build shop.
When seeking a position in the field of Controls Engineering,
we strongly suggest college students work with an integration
firm to establish a base line experience beginning with
panel build(s) and installation. We also suggest a wide
range of exposure including drafting, graphic arts and
mechanical trades with a focus on electro-mechanical,
hydraulics and pneumatics. We feel that an engineer that
understands the results of his or others decisions on layout
and system design makes for a more versatile and conscience
individual that is keeping the entire project cost
in mind, not just his own. Once the base line is set, a deep
interaction with Automated Drafting and on the job experience
of software development and debug will make for a
well-rounded individual. To further the value of an individual,
experience in multiple platforms along with mechanical,
hydraulic and pneumatic experience makes the strength and
value of the engineer expand symmetrically.
