Dick Dilling is the proud owner of Dilling Group Inc.,
and has watched it grow from a small residential
plumbing operation that his father started in 1947,
to a multi-million dollar company that now employs
nearly 1000 people through its various entities.
Serving as a Marine in Vietnam, Dick
learned some hard lessons that he’s
used throughout his professional
career.

employees are OSHA 30 trained, with 100% having
received the minimum OSHA 10 hour training.

Dilling Mechanical
Contractors (DMC)
is the heart of the
Dilling Group with several
hundred well trained and certified
employees dedicated to providing high value
mechanical and electrical contracting services.
Our core competency is the fabrication and
installation of industrial process and utility piping
and a full service industrial electrical group. Our
internal continuous training and education programs
contribute to our on-going growth and success.
Mark Parmeter is the Vice President of Mechanical

United Labor Group
(ULG) is a premier
industrial staffing
company that operates and maintains an
extensive base of trained industrial craftsmen.
ULG works closely with clients to

Jim Shetlar is the Operations Manager for the
ULG team.
Industrial Design
Group (IDG) has
registered professional engineers on staff with expertise
in mechanical, electrical, structural, and process
engineering disciplines. Their depth of knowledge
enhances our ability to provide a Turn Key service for
our clients. Marvin Bok is the Principal in charge
with a philosophy of providing focused excellence.
Industrial Process Group
(IPG) is a system integrator
for Allen Bradley and
Wonderware. They work with all types of PLC and
PC based Controls to provide the best solution for
machine and process control, batch mix, CIP,
industrial refrigeration, energy management,
SCADA and turnkey special machine and
integration projects. They are a UL508A and
698 Panel Build shop with experience in meeting
CE and CSA
standards.
Brad Johnson is
the Operations
Manager with
over 20 years of a
wide range of expertise from
food packaging to welding systems.
Bringing all of these groups together and keeping
them focused on the end goal is a big job.
Mr. Dilling’s Nephew and Vice President, Eric Ott,
is helping to lead the company into the next generation.
Growing up with the company, Eric has seen
the changes, challenges and opportunities in
construction over the past 30 years.

Steel Dynamics has worked with the Dilling Group since the
construction of our first production facility in Butler, Indiana in
1994. We have since continued to utilize their services at our
other production facilities, whether on new installations or as a
day to day provider of industrial maintenance support. We value their
