New Leash On Life is a partnership with<br />
the AKC and The Mountain View<br />
Correctional Facility. Dogs from Avery<br />
Humane Society spend 8 weeks in training<br />
at the correctional facility learning basic<br />
obedience with a professional trainer and<br />
their inmate. Putting the dogs through<br />
training makes them more adoptable, and<br />
helps prepare them for their forever<br />
homes. This program has changed the<br />
lives of all the inmates involved who care<br />
for them. Look on averyhumane.org for<br />
dogs currently enrolled.<br />

mix that just graduated from basic<br />
obedience training. He is anxious in the<br />
shelter but once he is outside he is a<br />
great dog. He is housetrained, loves to<br />
play but knows how to relax too.
