WHAT TO EXPECT<br />
ON YOUR VISIT<br />
As our patient, you will receive the f<strong>in</strong>est<br />
ophthalmic care available. You will benefit from<br />
hav<strong>in</strong>g all necessary exam<strong>in</strong>ations, diagnostic<br />
tests and medical procedures <strong>in</strong> one location.<br />
Because we aim to perform all necessary tests<br />
on the day of your appo<strong>in</strong>tment to avoid the<br />
need for multiple visits, please be aware that<br />
the appo<strong>in</strong>tment may take three to four hours.<br />
Questions for your doctor:<br />
You may want to br<strong>in</strong>g read<strong>in</strong>g materials<br />
and a sweater as the build<strong>in</strong>g is generally cool.<br />
If you require someth<strong>in</strong>g to eat or dr<strong>in</strong>k dur<strong>in</strong>g<br />
your appo<strong>in</strong>tment, you are welcome to br<strong>in</strong>g<br />
a snack. For your convenience, there is a café<br />
located on the first floor of the build<strong>in</strong>g.

<strong>Your</strong> pupils may be dilated dur<strong>in</strong>g your visit<br />
mak<strong>in</strong>g them sensitive to light and caus<strong>in</strong>g<br />
blurred vision for several hours. Therefore, we<br />
ask that you br<strong>in</strong>g someone with you to drive<br />
you home because driv<strong>in</strong>g with dilated pupils<br />
is not safe or advisable.<br />
If you are unable to f<strong>in</strong>d someone to drive<br />
you to your appo<strong>in</strong>tment or you require<br />
hotel accommodations dur<strong>in</strong>g your visit<br />
to <strong>Bascom</strong> <strong>Palmer</strong>, the Patient Services<br />
Department can arrange for transportation<br />
