The Maersk Convincer is capable of drilling in water depths
of up to 375 ft and has a rated drilling depth of 30,000 ft. The
rig is capable of operating in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, the
Mediterranean, Latin America and West Africa.
The Rig distances itself from conventional jack ups in
several areas, not least on the drill floor where the highly
mechanized equipment ensures increased safety for the
crew. The sophisticated drilling equipment also makes the
rig qualified for drilling deep and difficult wells, including high
temperature/high pressure wells.
